Chelsey's journey into the realm of wedding planning began in her childhood. She was the little girl who dreamt of her wedding day, her Prince Charming, and her happily ever after. She was captivated by every Disney movie and eagerly anticipated the day she would find her husband. Her expectations for her wedding day were so high that she had an entire folder in her Google Drive dedicated to her wedding, even before she met her husband!
Chelsey's passion for wedding planning was so profound that she left her full-time teaching job to pursue it. Today, she lives her dream job every day, planning weddings that exceed expectations. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and you will quickly see how much she loves it because she will be excited enough about your wedding for the both of you!
Danae, just like her sister, spent her younger years daydreaming about finding true love and having an extravagant wedding. She credits Disney for these dreams! However, she soon realized that life isn’t as perfect as the movies make it seem. But that didn’t dampen her desire to help you have your dream wedding.
During her time in college, Danae was blessed with the opportunity to walk alongside many of her friends during their wedding journeys. There is nothing like the exhilaration of a wedding day in full swing as guests begin to arrive and pure excitement is in the air! It would be a blessing to help you with your special day!
The shared passion for wedding planning between Chelsey and Danae was discovered quite by accident. They both loved planning events for their church groups and communities in college. So when their friends started getting engaged, they naturally turned to Chelsey and Danae for help. The sisters were ecstatic. Weddings were their absolute favorite!
Interestingly, they didn’t realize that this was happening to the other one, too! So one day, when they were chatting on the phone, the topic came up that one of them was helping with a wedding. And then they realized that this was happening to both of them! What a coincidence!
Over the years, Chelsey and Danae did so many weddings for their friends and family that they finally decided to create their own wedding planning business! And thus, Double Blessing Events was born. They chose this name because it represented the two of them being a double blessing to their brides, and it also showed their love for Jesus. How perfect!
